East Lyng Floods
I forgot to add a few words earlier!! These pictures are just a few I took from the Somerset Levels which have been completely underwater now for weeks. The road to Burrowbridge has been transformed into a river. Small boy & I actually attempted to get down it as we tried to get to Berrow Mump to survey the extent of the water but it was out of the question. I wasn’t going to risk my car.

Wow. Just last night I finished watching a marathon of natural disaster shows on the National Geographic Channel.
Those programs are amazing. This flood is small fry in comparison.
Sigh. Love the pics, though
Thanks. I dread to think what its going to look like when the water goes down!
It might be a mess when the water goes down, but I bet the productivity of those fields with a fresh load of silt on them is going to go way up.
That’s true, they are normally only used for grazing but it should keep the animals busy for a while.
Wow – that is a crazy amount of water!! Something’s up with the worlds’ weather… kinda scary!!!

The day they reopened the road, it started raining again. Now its closed for another week probably.
