Barbed Sunset

Whilst talking about Brean Down yesterday, I remembered a picture that I am very jealous of. Its in the same area but taken by my daughter Tash. She has quite an eye for the unusual I think & is studying photography in college.
She really did capture a fantastic sunset but she captured the barbed wire as well. There is something about this pic that intrigues me.

I think one day very soon she will be showing me what to do.

  1. I have the same problem with a son that is taking better pictures than I am, and showing me what to do, or complaining I have taken his idea. This one is a good idea, nicely executed too.

    • Many thanks for the note. She will be overjoyed with the responses on this picture. She is also a step ahead of me on copyright. She has already said I can’t copy her idea…

  2. Ah, a daughter taking the shot. I know how that feels. Both my niece and nephew have received training in photography and the equipment they use is what I dream of owning. šŸ™‚ And I do love this shot. The softness of the sunset against the harsh barbed wire; nature vs. man. The lines for the eye to follow. I wish I had taken this shot. šŸ™‚

    • Thanks for the comment, she is going to be unbearable soon, but definitely pumped to take more pics. I have the equipment she dreams of. Somehow I think I may be losing it soon…

  3. Amazing capture. Your daughter is very talented. There is something very profound about this shot. For me, it’s a great representation of life’s journey.
