The garden crawler

The adventure continues into the world of macro. Second day out with the macro & a slight improvement in the shots. This first picture is of ice crystals no more than a CM high in the decking in the back garden. The neighbours think I’m insane as I was crawling all over the garden taking pictures.

I had the aperture set to f/32 which possibly is a tad too high. The detail wasn’t quite what I had hoped for. Mirror lock up needed.

This second shot of the sycamore seed was better, capturing true detail of the seed along with the frost on the edges. I was really pleased with this.

I have included a small selection of the other shots of the morning. Some more successful than others. Bubbles in the ice didn’t come out quite as I have seen done. Pulling back a little may have shown off the leaf better though.
