East Lyng Floods

I forgot to add a few words earlier!! These pictures are just a few I took from the Somerset Levels which have been completely underwater now for weeks. The road to Burrowbridge has been transformed into a river. Small boy & I actually attempted to get down it as we tried to get to Berrow Mump to survey the extent of the water but it was out of the question. I wasn’t going to risk my car.

Nothing but water for miles

More water going across the road than down the river

This is literally a river coming across the field

This, is actually a road. Two minutes before a boat came down it!!

  1. It might be a mess when the water goes down, but I bet the productivity of those fields with a fresh load of silt on them is going to go way up.
